Role Overview

As the Regional Farm Consultancy Manager you will lead a team of Farm Consultants who provide advice and support to farmers to unlock the potential of their businesses. We are looking for someone with a proven ability to lead, grow and develop teams combined with strong commercial awareness and an ability to win new business in a competitve environment.

 

In this role you will demonstrate considerable knowledge and insight into the UK farming sector to ensure we are supporting and partnering with our farming clients responsibly. You will need to have prior experience of managing people, with responsibility for managing turnover and staff utilisation in the region.

 

This role covers the North of England. The ideal candidate will be based in the North West of England and will be able to travel within the region.

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Work as part of the Promar Management Team to deliver the business' strategy
  • Lead the Farm Consultancy services and business growth in the region, as aligned with the business' core strategic plan
  • Develop and build capacity in the region by ensuring people management, sales growth, training or strategic business development projects are planned and implemented effectively
  • Responsible for the recruitment, training and ongoing leadership of all employees in the region
  • Regular joint visits and coaching of team members to provide support and ensure a high-quality level of customer service

Requirements

  • Educated to a degree level or significant industry experience
  • Prior experience of managing a remote team
  • Experience of agriculture
  • Ability to travel in and around the region
